Dr Julia Keddie

JULIA KEDDIE

Julia has a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Julia has worked in the academic, corporate and retail environments. She has:
  • Lectured in two South African universities, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
  • Worked with Mercedes Benz South Africa where she headed up the Inventory Management environment in a world first parts distribution project and then into senior management at Mercedes Benz.
She is currently a consultant for various clients in the retail industry where she specialises in Supply Chain optimisation.

Julia has authored a number of research articles and publications in the Statistical environment

Julia is an active member of the South African Statistical Association

Dr Paul Fatti


PAUL FATTI

Paul is Emeritus Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand and acts as consultant in Statistics and Operations Research in a broad range of fields, including:
  • Banking and finance
  • Housing
  • The Mining, Steel, Cement, Electrical, Chemical, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical and Retail Industries
  • The Law
  • Insurance
  • Education
  • Conservation and Wildlife Management
Paul has a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MSc in Statistics and Operational Research from Imperial College, London. He spent most of his professional career at the University of the Witwatersrand, including 18 years as Professor of Statistics. His other employment includes the Chamber of Mines Research Laboratories, the Institute of Operational Research in London and the CSIR.

He has published 30 refereed scientific papers in Statistics and Operations Research and 68 in applications of Statistics, and is co-author of a book on Stochastic Processes. Paul has served as President of both the South African Statistical Association and the Operations Research Society of South Africa.
